The Hunting

At Rich Island we hunt Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays during the long Pacific Flyway season, targeting Mallard, Pintail, Teal, Gadwall, and other dabbling ducks as well as migrating Canvasback, Widgeon, Bluebill (Scaup), Golden Eye, and their diver duck friends.  A thriving population of wild Pheasants and the occasional Specklebelly or Canadian goose round out the action.

Blinds

The club maintains 42 well marked blinds - a mixture of standup, single and double tanks on 20 ponds - allocated to members via a lottery system that governs blind assignments on the evening prior to every hunt.

Rich Island is a well managed wetland area, annully improved to ensure a thriving population of ducks. As a result Rich Island 2023 harvest continued at a string pace and above average for the pacific flyway area.

With over 30 blinds, Rich Island can accommodate  a range of hunting opportunities, skill levels and techniques. We have a range of single, two man and also stand up blinds for those less able.
